The first week of September with the students and faculty of Holy Name of Mary College School was filled with new experiences, new connections, and new opportunities to step outside their comfort zones. Students spent their days out in canoes, up on high ropes and on the beach volley ball court and their evenings gathered around the campfire. The students also participated in a variety of workshops over the week focusing on breaking negative thinking traps, on what it means to be a good friend and on strengthening their personal leadership skills. We are incredibly grateful for the time we spent together and wish you all the best in the school year ahead!

The York School Grade 9, 10, 11 & 12 – ALIVE Outdoors – September 2022
We are so grateful for the time that The York School’s senior students and faculty members spent with us this last week. From the never ending house spirit to their willingness to build new skills in rotations, these students demonstrated what it meant to continuously grow in community with one another. As the students return back to school and communities back home, we hope you remember the moments around the campfire, the energy created by The York School Games and the beauty from the natural world around us. All the best in the year ahead!
Royal St. George’s College Grade 9 & Leaders – ALIVE Outdoors – September 2022
The Grade 9’s and Student Leaders of Royal St. George’s College spent their first week of school with us up in Algonquin Park. These students truly embodied what it meant to step outside their comfort zone and connect with their school community over these past few days. From activities like canoeing, kayaking, high ropes and many more, these students brought joy and excitement to everything they did this week. The Grade 9’s also took part in the Personal Strengths workshop and were able to discover more about their own personal leadership skills as well as their peers around them. We are so grateful for the time we spent together and wish the students and faculty all the best in the new school year ahead!
St. Michaels College School Grade 9 & Leaders – ALIVE Outdoors – September 2022
The Grade 9 students of St. Michael’s College School joined us up north this past week and made the most of every moment. Their first day of school was spent in canoes instead of the classrooms and seated around a campfire instead of around a cafeteria table. These grade 9’s brought energy and spirit to every activity even the early morning Polar Bear Dips! This was the first time for many students trying new adventure elements, paddling techniques and team building initiatives that not only strengthened their hard skills but enhanced their soft skills like communication, problem solving and working together as a cohesive team. We are grateful for the time we were able to spend together this week and hope that the St. Michael’s College School students continue to take these moments of joy and adventure with them throughout the school year. All the best in this new semester!
